About Dr. Perlis

Dr. Cheryl Perlis is a board-certified physician who specializes in natural hormonal therapy, brain and body biochemistry, and aesthetic procedures.

She was trained as a conventional obstetrician gynecologist, and then found her calling in functional/integrative medicine. She has been in private practice since 1990, helping hundreds of men and women look and feel their best at any stage of life with advanced cosmetic procedures and bioidentical hormone therapies. She has studied and trained nationwide under top doctors and thought leaders, and is constantly learning cutting-edge medical information and procedures to benefit her patients.

Personal Experience with Wellness

Dr. Perlis has personal experience in her areas of specialization. When a bout of Bell’s palsy during her pregnancy left the right side of her face immovable, she discovered the benefits of Botox® and dermal fillers. She then began training with one of the leading injectors in North America. Later on, she uncovered a hormone imbalance that was causing her low energy, weight gain, and foggy thinking in middle age. It was then that Dr. Perlis experienced the benefits of hormonal therapy and advanced nutrient therapy, which she now offers as treatments in her practice.

Outside of Work

Dr. Perlis is married to her husband Stan and has three children: twins, Adam and Seth, as well as a younger daughter, Elliana. Dr. Perlis is a dedicated environmentalist with a passion for animals. She also enjoys paddle boarding, hot yoga, sailing, hiking, scuba diving, reading, and spending time with her family.

What does it mean to visit a wellness doctor?

These are some of the common topics Dr. Perlis discusses with her patients

High Performance You: Look and feel your best for career success

Today’s job market is competitive. To compete effectively, you must stay on top of your game both mentally and physically. Your physiology can put you at a disadvantage. However, with advanced nutrition, hormone therapy, and aesthetic procedures, Dr. Perlis can help you look and feel your best in any career situation.

Beyond Diet and Exercise: Discovering the hidden barriers to weight loss

It’s no secret that as we age, it becomes more difficult to lose weight. The why and how are more elusive. Dr. Perlis will discuss the physiological causes of weight loss resistance, how hormonal imbalance can play in derailing your personal success, and most importantly, how to combat it.

Looking Beautiful Through the Years: Best aesthetic treatments at 30, 40, and 50+

Women want to look their very best no matter how old they are. Aesthetic treatments offer ways to do this that are non-invasive and affordable. Dr. Perlis discusses the treatments that are most effective for each patient’s individual physiology, age, and aesthetic goals.

Beauty Defined & Achieved with Science

Did you know that beauty is not just subjective—there is a scientific formula and measurements behind what humans regard as empirically beautiful. By applying this knowledge, Dr. Perlis determines the best aesthetic treatments for each patient’s face. She also measures facial contour, angle, and volume deficiencies to achieve optimal results from aesthetic treatments.

Laser-Sharp Focus: Increasing your natural energy and concentration

Feeling lethargic after eight hours of sleep? Experiencing foggy thinking at work? We fight physiological changes that can affect our natural energy and focus. Dr. Perlis evaluates how and why this happens with each patient. We also discuss the many options we have to help our minds and bodies restore their vigor.

The Thyroid Connection: Symptoms of thyroid dysfunction, treatments, and results

A healthy thyroid has a positive effect over the way you look and feel daily. Dr. Perlis can help you recognize the warning signs of a dysfunctional thyroid and coordinate a treatment plan for you.

Looking Attractive, Naturally

First impressions are critical. Nobody wants a misshapen, unnatural-looking face that tells the world their special efforts and multiple trips to the doctor’s office have gone awry. Looking natural, even with aesthetic treatments, is absolutely possible. Dr. Perlis will help you augment your natural beauty to show your best possible, most natural face to the world.

Botox Basics: Is it worth it?

We’ve all heard of Botox® but is it the right solution for you? Dr. Perlis can help you weight the pros and cons of Botox® injections and give you all the information you need to decide.
