In the medical aesthetics industry, non-invasive facial treatments tackle the three Rs. Replacing volume. Relaxing muscles. And Resurfacing skin. At Perlis MedSpa and Wellness Center, we believe there’s a fourth R to consider: Repositioning! That’s where a thread lift in Highland Park comes in handy
Our goal is to promote everyone’s natural beauty with every treatment we offer. Instalift threads help us attain that goal by providing an instant lift and encouraging natural collagen production over time With this in mind, we recommend threads for patients to reposition the natural fat and increase collagen in their face.
Our practice combines highly specialized training and cutting-edge biomedical technology for this treatment. Silhouette Instalift is a non-invasive option we use to reposition the deeper fat within the subcutaneous layer of your skin. Unlike Botox or filler, Instalift utilizes the natural volume in your face instead of adding to your natural look. This treatment requires intense training and specialized techniques so there are many things to keep in mind when considering a thread lift in Highland Park.
Who does a thread lift work best for?
Your natural beauty is as unique as you are. So your treatment should be as well. At Perlis MedSpa and Wellness Center, there are no one-size-fits-all treatments. We customize every treatment plan to bring out your best natural look possible, with results that exceed expectations In your consultation, we’ll recommend the best options to restore and enhance your natural look. To tackle the fourth R of your facial treatment, we would recommend a thread lift in Highland Park.
Age, Conditions, and Options
Age is only a number when it comes to your treatment. Aging skin can start in your 30s and continue for the rest of your life. There is no minimum age for thread lifts in Highland Park, but we only recommend repositioning when necessary. We can use this treatment to reposition the volume in your cheeks and tighten loose skin around the lower face, jowls, jawline, neck, and around your smile lines.
Your natural beauty, our holistic approach.
You deserve a treatment plan that works for every aspect of your health and beauty. So while we make a plan for your aesthetics, we also factor in your total wellness. This makes sure that your wellness plan is finely tuned to make you feel as good as you look.
Our practice takes your biology, lifestyle and medical history into consideration. Oftentimes we find that what our patients worry about on the outside is attributed to what they may not know about on the inside. This is why our specialties range from hormone therapy to thread lifts.
While we improve how you feel on the inside, we can also work on any concerns on the outside. For concerns like aging skin, we make sure to include the most effective treatments possible. So when we plan your thread lift in Highland Park, we also talk about options like Kybella or dermal fillers to give you the most natural, youthful look.
The Science of Your Thread Lift in Highland Park.
When putting anything in your face you may want to know exactly what it is and how it works. However, clinical mumbo jumbo can be confusing. Here’s what to know about Instalift and how it works for your thread lift in Highland Park.
Instalift is…
Instalift is a truly unique thread lift option. This technique uses the only FDA-approved biodegradable threads on the market. Instalift threads are made of poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA), a well-known biomedical copolymer.
These threads include tiny cones that facilitate the movement of your fat while promoting additional collagen deep in your skin. Bidirectional cones work to move fat from one area of your tissue and reposition it in the desired area. The results of Instalift can be seen immediately, but the best results start to surface in about six months.
How it works
The unique application of these threads goes deeper than other techniques. Keeley Allen MSN, APRN, FNP-C will insert the Instalift thread into the subcutaneous layer of your skin. This layer contains fewer nerve endings and more natural fat deposits, making this treatment more comfortable and effective by targeting the most optimal layer of tissue to correctly reposition your natural volume.

“You can’t put a price on experience.”
– Keeley Allen MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Keeley brings over 15 years of injecting experience to Perlis MedSpa and Wellness Center. Over the years she’s helped thousands of people look and feel their best. But when she needed to address her own aesthetics and health concerns, she gained the most valuable experience of her life. Here is her experience with Instalift in her own words.
Keeley’s experience as a professional.
When I was first introduced to thread lifting, I set out to find a way to reposition my patients’ natural volume without fillers or botox. As this was a fairly new treatment in the US, there were very few specialists to learn from.
I had to teach myself this technique by watching hours of training videos, consulting with international experts, and learning from patients who trust me. Almost a decade later, I continue to find new things I love about this treatment.
Thanks to my trusting patients and years of training I also travel the country as an Aesthetic Clinical educator for Suneva, the makers of Instalift. I’m happy to share what I’ve learned with patients and practitioners alike. I didn’t set out to become an expert in this treatment, but over the years I’m able to share the benefits of this technique from a professional and patient perspective.
Keeley’s experience as a patient
When I talk with patients about their thread lift in Highland Park, I’m not just speaking as a professional. I trust thread lifts with my own aesthetics as well. I personally love this treatment because of the natural repositioning and value I’ve added to my own look.
I started my wellness journey with a weight loss plan. Over time, I added hormone therapy and lost over one hundred pounds! As I started to feel healthier, lighter, and more active I noticed some side effects of this dramatic weight loss. Weight loss like mine often results in saggy skin due to the lack of excess fat. To reposition the fat and promote collagen in my face I chose Instalift to regain my natural look.
I’ve used other aesthetic treatments as well. But this treatment remains one of the most comfortable and effective I have ever tried. I continue to use thread lifts regularly and recommend them to patients more frequently as they are less costly than surgery and can bridge the gaps before a facelift
What to expect from your thread lift in Highland Park.
We keep this holistic approach in mind with every stage of your treatment. So here is what to expect as you take the next step in looking and feeling your best.
During Your Consultation
In your consultation, we begin with a clinically-close look at your face. We look at many aspects including volume loss and elasticity of the skin. Around our clinic, we call this “Finding the air in your balloon.” That means we look to see if you’re dealing with skin laxity, lost facial volume, or possibly both. After we determine the root of your concerns, we get to work on your thread lift in Highland Park.
During Your Procedure
On the day of your procedure we start with a deep cleanse. We then plot out each entry and exit point for the threads. Each entry and exit point is then treated with a local anesthetic so you don’t have to feel the suture. You may feel a slight tension below the surface of your skin as we move the suture through your subcutaneous tissue. We then engage the cones and reposition your tissue and finally cut the suture so that it tucks back under the skin.
We can place multiple sutures in one treatment in various areas. With an experienced specialist, the entire procedure takes less than an hour for every focus. You’re also able to get back to work immediately, with minimal to no downtime required. This is why these thread lifts are sometimes referred to as the lunchtime facelift.
After Your Procedure
There are a few things to keep in mind after this procedure. You will need to limit facial expressions for a few days, as well as limit how much you open your mouth. Normal activities like talking and eating are okay. But as the sutures settle into your tissue, it’s best to remain conscious about your facial movements for a few days.
Since this is a regenerative treatment the sweet spot for results can be seen about 6 months after your procedure. You’ll start to see results immediately after treatment. But we usually wait a few weeks before we pair any other procedure or schedule any follow-ups. Your results can last up to 2 years before any touch-ups become necessary.
